Edible Vines for container

We have a west-facing glass double door that lets in a LOT of heat in the summer. Of course we have curtains but I’d like to build a pergola with a deciduous vine to further block the hot summer sun but let light in during winter. That part of the property is fully paved so whatever I plant will need to grow in a barrel. We’re in Zone 8 Oregon,. I’d love it if there was an edible that would work there, any ideas?
