Hello! I am wondering if anyone has experience and wisdom on overwintering perennials in pots in USDA zone 6b, my location is southwest Michigan.
I have a Northern Highbush blueberry, a heritage raspberry, and a tree collard/perennial kale that i planted in pots this spring. i have some herbs that have lived in pots for years and been fine, but these are a little more precious and i want to take precautions to prevent them from freezing and dying.
my current ideas are putting them in a small greenhouse (if they fit) or making a cloche of some kind to go over them, and huddling them together.
please let me know if you have a method that has worked!
