Hello from an Australian in Seattle, helping a permaculture farm in Uganda!

Hello,

I grew up with Bill Mollison books and lawn never survived around me dad. He was all about creating suburban food forests. So permaculture is in my bones, though I haven't formally studied it in ages.

Now I'm working with an old friend of my dad's in Uganda to co-found Ngombor Community Development Alliance, which has at its heart a permaculture model farm. We've been working on it since January. In May we became a registered organization and two folks in Uganda got their Permaculture Designer Certification and work has swiftly commenced building the farm. Yesterday I created our logo, by the end of the week our website should be live.

It's been a bit of a whirlwind and kind of nice connecting to my roots and having an excuse to connect to the broader permaculture world as an adult.

So anyway, I thought I should step out of my comfort zone and join this community space. The world certainly needs community building and permacultural principles right now.

Our website isn't live, but here's a behind the scenes photo album I created for a volunteer video editor. I thought people might like it https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOr65WIrAGyM640aGNVI0XTtWZ1Ws7b9CNzylkGWe4356fMt5dH6P_OKUZrYcu3yA?key=RzNtSkVqdHZXcEpQVnROTEpadGs3SUJuT19yaUFB
