Hello everyone!!
I am a pretty experienced gardener and I would love to start or join a local chapter for Food Not Lawns in the Orlando area. I have always wanted to be a part of or a start a community garden but no real idea on how to go about it without it being a guerilla style (which is not off the table but would like to have some support or funding from my city).
How would I go about finding an org or starting one? I checked the tags and didn't see anything that was specifically about Orlando or Florida and leads me to believe we might not have an FNL (Food Not Lawns) in my area.
We do have several FNB (Food Not Bombs) chapters in my area and I have participated in many of their benefit shows and meal sharings, so they may be a good place to start, but I was hoping and wondering if there was already a chapter in my area. How would I go about starting my own community program for a FNL chapter if there isn't already one established? Are there any other Orlando or Central FL folks here? Would love to connect some time 😃
