Hey, everyone.
I just started Site Selection: Vision for Transition. I'm honestly very impressed with the vision that Heather Jo Flores developed in her video. I'd like to live in a more sustainable community where people actually helped each other, rather than being too independent, as is the case in most of the U.S., where I live. Having people share excess power and produce, as well as helping watch over the children sounds great. I'm not quite sure how to incorporate such a great vision into my own neighborhood, though. I just moved here recently into a townhouse development, a typical suburban area. Usually, folks in the suburbs keep to themselves and don't get involved with their neighbors, which doesn't actually make sense to me. How could I introduce them to permaculture and encourage them to take action without being intrusive or pushy?
I'd appreciate any advice.
